Bari-Bari (バリバリ) is a small yōkai.
Appearance
He appears as a bright yellow ball of spike with two eyes pointing in different directions, a pair of yellow eyes that point in different directions, and two pairs of orange arms and legs.
Personality
History
5th Anime
Bari-Bari appeared in episode 60 of the 5th anime adaption, Work!! Yōkai Bari-Bari. In this episode, Nezumi-Otoko bought Bari-Bari eggs at the Yōkai Black Market to use in order to make a huge profit. When Shinji, the son of a baker, becomes overworked because of Bari-Bari, Medama-Oyaji confronts it as he is the only one small enough to fit inside Shinji. He eventually gets Bari-Bari to understand the situation and importance of the relationship between a parent and their child, and Bari-Bari willingly leaves Shinji's body. Afterwards he is given a job to work for Yagyō-san.
He later appears in GeGeGe no Kitarō: Nippon Bakuretsu!!. Bari-Bari appears as one of the multitude of Yōkai parading through cities due to Yato-no-Kami's influence. He is bumped by Kemedama, in retaliation he electrocutes him and continues on his way. He is later returned to where he came from after Hana agrees to follow Yato-no-Kami.[1]
